Investment in the latest profile cutting equipment has enabled Dunlopillo International to offer its customers a comprehensive range of latex block and sheets. This means that we can now virtually tailor-make a product to each customer’s exact requirements.
Extensive choice
Because of the unique and uniform structure of Talalay latex it can be cut, shaped, laminated and built into an almost infinite range of shapes, sizes and comfort options by:
- Splitting into sheet for comfort layers or topper pads
- Contour cutting both on the surface and through the cross section of the material to create zoning, profiling and shaping to give a range of support options
- Laminating using liquid latex (water based) to build up depth or create longer or wider cores or to improve the ‘comfort index’.

§ Laminating using liquid latex (water based) to build up depth or create longer or wider cores or to improve the ‘comfort index’.
As well as producing one-piece blocks to a width of 150cm in depths of 10cm, 12cm & 15cm, we are happy to split blocks or build blocks to requested depths and sizes.
Talalay latex can be made in 100% natural form and in natural/synthetic blended form.
Superior washing process
The open cell structure of Talalay latex makes it an ideal material to water wash efficiently. The washing process ensures the healthiest sleeping conditions by removing all residual elements that may give rise to odour, allergies or bacterial/fungal growths.
Dunlopillo International is the only Talalay latex manufacturer to thoroughly wash every block that is made. Every moulding is washed in fresh water by passing under a perforated roller that forces water from the wash bath, by suction all the way through the latex. The wash water is continuously refreshed and used water is taken to a treatment plant to remove zinc and nitrogen compounds before releasing to the public drains.

The latex material is dried and finally cured by a very energy efficient process of suction drying. As the drying process is carried out at temperatures in excess of 100°c, any micro organisms likely to form mould or fungus are destroyed.
Quality Control
We inspect every product before it leaves the factory for defects such as tears, stains or voids.

Packaging and Protection
Each product is carefully packaged in a manner designed to protect the product from damage and to keep it clean during transportation.
At Dunlop Latex Foam we have developed the bagging of latex cores and sheets into polythene bags, which are then compressed into roll packs in order to compress the volume by around 50% - increasing the efficiency of shipping.
